Session 1: This session includes a demonstration of the Read&Write GOLD literacy toolbar that includes tools for reading, writing and research/study skills. Session 2: This session focuses on Fluency Tutor, Texthelp’s innovative online solution for developing and assessing oral reading fluency. Each session is an hour in length.

Key Life Transitions: AAC Users' Perspectives
The evening of the 23rd will consist of a panel of AAC users sharing their experiences of using an AAC device during their everyday lives. Some time for question and answers will be available at the end. No Fee. Persons may attend panel without attending Saturday's workshop.

Workshop: Addressing Key Life Transitions for Users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Diane Nelson Bryen, Ph.D. Professor Emerita of Special Education, Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Education Executive Director of Institute on Disabilities Temple University
This workshop will provide an overview of the Bill of Communication Rights, the scope of AAC, and known outcomes of using AAC approaches with children and adults with Complex Communication Needs (CCN). Dr. Bryen will focus on key transitions across the lifespan for persons who rely on AAC, including how to integrate AAC into the IFSP, IEP, and ITP.
